Change Your Mouse Cursor in Ubuntu 11.04

I got used to using the black cursor in Ubuntu past.. So when it wasn’t working for me in Ubuntu 11.04 I was very frustrated (because it used to be a problem, but was fixed, and was now a problem again???!)

Here’s what I did to change my mouse cursor: Find a solution on a forum! 🙂

Here’s the link to the forum. And please, all credit goes to the user who posted this solution, but here’s what I had to do:

Run this in terminal: sudo update-alternatives --config x-cursor-theme

It will give a list of cursor themes and prompt you for the number of one of them. Enter the number of the cursor theme you want to use and hit enter. You’ll have to either log out or restart to see the changes happen. Enjoy!
